These models all have an HDD recorder built in.
Based on the Humax 9200/ 9150 series, they are pretty reliable.

With digital switchover now being phased in around the uk, when there is partial switchover there have been slight problems.

There is a software update that is available to stop the units intermittently locking up, or slow remote control operation.

Eventually JVC will probably OTA update all tvs automatically, but for now dealers have access to the firmware update to resolve this.

It needs a lead making to connect the PC to the RS232 port to download into the TV so its not really a DIY quick fix.

You can check if the update is in your set. Check in The DTV menu- for version 1.00.09 version 8 or less is un modified.
