|

Hi
Hopefully someone can help. My in-laws have given me their DR-MX1SEK recorder to look at as it was dead.
On opening the machine I have found that the T2A fuse, F5001, on the main psu board has blown. The pcb around the STR G6653 is all brown so would this overheating have caused the fuse to blow? Would it be worth just putting a new 2A fuse in and seeing if it powers up or am I best off replacing the G6653? All the surrounding caps and resistors appear ok. |

| Similar board layout to most DVDrs so similar psu capacitor faults and yes the G6653 will likely need replacing |
