After a lot of .SQL file tweaking, PHP editing and MySQL hacking, I have finally managed to restore the Technical BBS back to its former glory. Sorry for the downtime, folks.

I changed my web hosting provider because my previous one (fasthost.com) were simply a bunch of cowboys. In fact, I'm convinced that the term 'cowboys' was specifically invented for them. How they remain in business I have no idea. I will be publishing transcripts of online conversations I've had with them for your delight. Their lack of concern for customer welfare is staggering. Anyway, I'm with a new company now and things are looking OK so far, apart from the forums, which I can't migrate all the old messages back to. If anyone knows how to integrate PHP BBS and SQL backups then please help me! Until such time, please don't post anything until I get things sorted - because when I do, all the messages you've posted in the intervening time will be lost. Sorry for the inconvenience. Andy.

Antony has recorded a little dance track to illustrate the folly of the Iraq war. I say dance, but I personally couldn't keep up with the speed of the beat. Perhaps I'm getting old.
